RIP Daul Kim

Went to CFDA fund dinner, lots of old and familiar faces (some also artificially enhanced with the passing of the years and rendered unrecognizable!). Always lovely to see Chanel Iman and her man there, they are a sweet and charming compliment to each other, and are the best laugh. She doesn't take herself too seriously unlike half the other people in this crazy parallel world called FASHION. The winner was a french girl Sophie Theallet who worked for me briefly as a consultant at Dvf. She was always convincing and was teary as she thanked the fact her American dream was coming true. It was touching and simple. Alber Elbaz was also there and his speech was self deprecating and inspirational and he has a wickedly fat bowtie that I want. Other secret star of the evening was Nicole Kidman who emerged much to everyone's surprise from behind a white curtain to announce the winners. She looked gorgeous, like the good witch in the Wizard of Oz!! In tiered white chiffon with a camellia at her waist.
